Paper Mirchi - Branding

PAPER MIRCHI

Paper Mirchi creates beautifully designed handcrafted gift wrap and greeting cards on recycled cotton paper. “Mirchi” translates to chilli, so a chilli motif is something that Rani wanted to bring forward from her previous branding. We started out with some classic illustrations, but they weren’t quite sitting right with the brand. So instead, I illustrated the chilli motif first, and then sent it to Rani to turn in to a printing block. She then sent me a scan of a print, which I then vectorised for the logo. That way we were able to capture the little imperfections of hand printing and give the logo a more authentic feel.
